Etienne Jaime is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Global Public Health at NYU Shanghai. He holds a PhD in Public Health from University of Liverpool/Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University. Etienne has previously worked in Monitoring and Evaluation of public health programs in the U.S. and Latin America. He worked with programs and interventions using participatory methodologies in the fields of youth health and empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, minority health, water sanitation and hygiene, and tropical & infectious diseases.
His current research interests include community-based and participatory methods (e.g., community-based participatory research and crowdsourced interventions), behavior change interventions, mHealth interventions, sexual and reproductive health, youth health, and mental health. His research contributions have been granted national and international awards and assisted in the development of a national USAID funded project in Nicaragua.
