NYU New York Students
If you are an NYU New York degree student, check the NY & Shanghai Equivalent Courses Spreadsheet to see if NYU Shanghai courses can be counted towards your degree requirements.
If a course is not listed, contact your home school academic advisor at NYU New York to review if the course credit can be accepted and counted towards your core, major, minor, or degree process.

Language Course Requirement
The Office of Global Programs requires students to take a 4-credit Chinese language course or a 4-credit China content course pairing with a 2-credit language course when studying away in Shanghai.
Student Life
The Office of Student Life provides a wide range of resources, activities, and guidelines to help our students live up to the NYU motto of “in and of the city.” Study Away Programs are dedicated to helping study away students navigate studying and living in Shanghai through providing orientation, Language Peer Mentor program and various cultural excursions, and connecting students to residential life and housing, student activities, community engagement initiatives, athletics and fitness programs, diversity initiatives, career development and health and wellness resources on campus.
