The EHS team provides EHS support, training, consulting, and auditing services in teaching, research, and campus operations. The team also manages risks, promotes sustainability, and implements practices that minimize environmental impact. It ensures that all activities comply with regulations and support the long-term health of both the community and the planet.

Lab Safety Committee

NYU Shanghai Laboratory Safety Committee consists of Campus SafetyLaboratory operation, and the Office of Research. It aims to strengthen the safety management of university laboratories and ensure the safety and compliance of laboratory activities.

Lab Supplies

EHS provides the proactive direction and standard operation procedures (SOP) to ensure the compliance of chemical, biological agent, drugs, microorganism, and equipment, etc., throughout the lifecycle of the acquisition, storage, usage, inventory, and disposal.

For lab supplies procurement, please submit your request via one of the following systems. ChemLife only accepts acquisitions with amounts less than RMB5,000.

Wastes Disposal

Make sure no hazardous materials are placed into regular waste containers, flushed down the drain, or otherwise inappropriately disposed of. If there are any questions, please contact the EHS team.
