Fabian Froehlich is a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow of Interactive Media and Business (IMB) at NYU Shanghai. He is an academic with a diverse background in film and media & technology studies. Prior to pursuing his graduate studies, Fabian worked in the film industry, using his creativity and technical skills to entertain audiences. After transitioning to academia, he turned his attention to the use of media for educational purposes at the University of British Columbia and graduated with a PhD in Administration, Leadership & Technology from NYU. His research explored the intersection of media and education creating immersive learning experiences. His interests center on learning in virtual worlds, a cutting-edge area of study that examines how virtual environments can be used to enhance learning outcomes. If he is not teaching or researching you can find him swimming or dancing.
