Meng Zhang is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the English for Academic Purposes program at NYU Shanghai. Prior to this appointment, she has taught and assisted in teaching graduate-level TESOL program courses at The Ohio State University. She also has experience in teaching English speaking and writing to a ride range of multilingual students at Abram Friedman Occupational Center in Los Angeles, California. Zhang has also worked as a senior TOEFL Speaking instructor at New Channel International School in China. Her teaching focuses on engaging students into various kinds of academic literacy practices and cultivating students’ capacities of connecting while transferring learned (language) skills across different types of practices.
