Meng Zhang is a Clinical Assistant Professor of English for Academic Purposes at NYU Shanghai and an Adjunct Faculty in NYU Steinhardt-NYU Shanghai Joint MA TESOL Program. She is also an Associate Editor of the International Journal of English for Academic Purposes. Meng holds a Ph.D. in foreign, second, and multilingual education and has extensive experience designing and teaching EAP and ESL courses in both China and the U.S., working with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Her research interests include second language speaking and writing, academic socialization, and design-based research methodology. Meng’s work has been published in prestigious journals such as TESOL Quarterly and International Journal of English for Academic Purposes. Beyond academia, Meng is a public speaker and creative writer. She has delivered talks at TEDx NYU Shanghai and various library events in China. Her books, I CONFESS and Rains in the Sixteen (poetry and prose) were published by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Publishing House.
