Professor Zeidan is Professor of Practice in Business and Finance with NYU Shanghai and Chief Sustainability Liaison with NYU. He is also a Visiting Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral, Senior Scholar at the Center for Sustainable Business, NYU Stern, and a columnist at Folha de S. Paulo, Brazil’s leading newspaper.
Professor Zeidan is the author of Economics of Global Business (MIT Press), The Green Banking Transition Manual (Palgrave Macmillan), The General Model of Working Capital Management (Palgrave Macmillan), and six other books.
His more recent research focuses on Sustainable Finance alongside issues in Corporate Finance and Development Economics. He co-created the Sustainability Credit Score System, which may become the standard sustainability rating system globally. Alongside his article in Nature Sustainability, his research has been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Economic Letters, International Journal of Production Economics, Economic Modelling, Energy Economics, European Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, among others. Rodrigo has written extensively for various media outlets, including The New York Times, CNN, the World Economic Forum, Bloomberg, Americas Quarterly, and The Financial Times.
He has significant teaching experience at all levels, from undergraduate to international MBAs in South America, Europe, and Asia. He has taught over 100 courses for undergraduates, 20 classes for postgraduates, and delivered 2,000 hours of Executive Education. He combines teaching excellence with skills in top-level research and consulting. Some of the companies he works with or has worked with include Kraft Foods, Johnson & Johnson, Santander, Skanska, L’Oreal, RCI Banque, Vale, Queiroz Galvão, Itaú Bank, and Petrobras. One of the works he has supervised created over USD 1 billion of shareholder value for a listed company in Brazil. His consulting jobs include Valuation, M&A, Cash Conversion Cycle Management, Personal Finance, and Trust Funds.
