Sunnie Sun shared what it is like to make a living on her life as a fashion blogger.
At an event organized by Finn Na Sun ‘18, a PCI fellow, the fashion blogger talked about how she went from industry outsider to insider without a background in fashion, and how she learned the art of working with brands and media along the way. She also shared her insights into how to make a profit as a blogger in China.
Sunnie Sun said her interest in fashion was awakened while interning for Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), during her junior year. After graduation, she moved to France to pursue graduate studies in luxury brand management. Sunnie Sun then returned to China to enter the fashion industry. She now runs a well-received fashion blog on Weibo with around 300,000 followers and recently started a public account on WeChat.
“Her experience of finding her real passion and choosing a totally different path after college, compared with her friends, is especially encouraging,” said Finn Na Sun, the organizer.
