Orientation Week concluded on a high note with 18 stellar student performances at the NYU Shanghai’s Got Talent show, co-hosted by Zane Fadul ‘21 and Qichen Liu ‘22.

Kicking off the night, DJ Rugby Scruggs '22 warmed up the crowd with "Dubstep Chopping."
Student group Club of Fraud then performed a series of covers of songs by Canadian rock band Sum 41.
Wearing a Xinjiang folk dress, Tian Qin '22 introduced her classmates to a traditional dance called ‘Flower'.
Also drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese arts, Yiling Shi '22 performed a musical piece on the guqin, a seven-stringed Chinese musical instrument.
Next up, Tyson Upshaw '21 & Alyanna Felix '21 took to the stage for a duet of American singer Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty."
And Bongani Musikavanhu '22 raised the tempo with an "original rap in Chinglish."
The show closed with musical performances by Ryan Hoover '22, who played a classic jazz love song titled "Lucinda"
...and a violin solo by Minjae Kim '22 called Salut D’Amour.
The Class of 2022 definitely has talent!
The night ended with orientation ambassadors, performers and students storming the stage.
