"My NYU Shanghai experience, especially my time as an RA and student leader, is helping me cope through this difficult time that we are all going through; it has taught me resilience and given me the skills to bounce back and persevere through tough times in the best way possible. I truly owe it to the exceptional experiences during my four years at NYU Shanghai that have brought me to this point in life and will stay with me like an old journal that I will often revisit to draw guidance from."

On Her Brother’s Plans to Attend NYU Shanghai

"It is a matter of great honor for me to know that my younger brother will be embarking on this incredible journey. We are both very excited to see how the institution will shape us as individuals in our lives going forward. I feel like he is a perfect fit in the learning environment of NYU Shanghai and will flourish as a proud violet."

"Every time my sister would come home for her winter and summer break, she would tell me all about her new college experiences. She described NYU Shanghai as one of the best experiences of her life. Seeing her change in a positive way year over year, was very impactful, and made me look up to her as an inspiration even more.

One thing that stood out to me about NYU Shanghai that she told me about was the ability to make personal connections with the entire class, with professors, and higher administration in the environment there. She told me that the student body at NYU Shanghai consists of individuals from around the world. That made me want to have the same kind of diverse and unique college experience and learn about people’s cultures and languages. That’s why NYU Shanghai was my number one choice for colleges and it excites me to know that I will be carrying the legacy of my family forward."
