Introduction of the conference

The I AM LIMITLESS Conference is an annual conference held by the Center for Career Development. This year, the conference theme was “Social Impact & innovation: a Force for Good,” and was held from April 11 - April 17, 2020. During the event, more than 400 students, and 20 alumni and professionals working at NGOs, international organizations, social enterprises, and social media came together in online sessions, where they discussed topics such as poverty, healthcare, environment, and global collaboration. Students gained insight into making an impact on society by listening to the panelists share their career journeys, which included internships, full time jobs and volunteering.

Fan Zhang, Director, CSR and sustainability, Kuaishou Online social platforms like Kuaishou are making connections more accessible for all. Online communities are tightly bonded by shared values and mutual trust, providing a new model of self-empowerment. In this session, Fan Zhang shared how these meaningful online connections can break social gaps and uplift communities.

Train Your Curiosity

Yue Su, Chief Editor for Health and Wellness, Hunziyue Today, the public is becoming increasingly open and curious about new developments and technologies. However, we have also encountered bottlenecks in our development. Yue Su says one of the biggest challenges her team faced was when they realized that many of them were beginning to criticize and even feel aversion to change. In this session, Yue shared how her team realized the problem and overcame it.

Marcela Godoy, Clinical Instructor of Arts, NYU Shanghai Professor Marcela Godoy, who teaches the Re-Made in China course, talked about NYU Shanghai’s Re-Makerspace, an open space for the community to collect and repurpose trash from the campus building, and engage with the greater Shanghai community on environmental issues.
