Class of 2025 Graduate Convocation

NYU Shanghai held its sixth Graduate Convocation on May 24, 2025 to celebrate the graduation of 146 PhD and Master’s degree candidates from 11 programs: Doctor of Philosophy in Transportation Systems, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry, Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Master of Arts in Interactive Media Arts (IMA), Master of Science in Data Analytics & Business Computing (MSDABC), Master of Science in Quantitative Finance (MSQF), Master of Science in Marketing and Retail Science (MSMRS), and Master of Science in Organization Management and Strategy (MSOMS). Over 400 family members and friends attended the convocation in person, in addition to those around the globe who watched via livestream, as 126 students walked across the stage in NYU Shanghai’s New Bund campus quad to receive their degrees in person, and 20 graduates participated remotely.

NYU Shanghai’s advanced degree Class of 2025 will continue their careers in a variety of industries and sectors. The PhD graduates will move on to companies such as Huawei and Marriott. NYU Shanghai - NYU Stern MS graduates have accepted offers from Deloitte, JD.com, Inc., China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd, and UBS, among others. Graduates of the TESOL program will continue to advance in their careers at educational institutions in China and around the world. IMA graduates’ thesis project work will be on show from June 19-20 in the 3rd floor North Hall IMA studios on campus.
