Academic Skills Coaching

Academic Skills Coaching Program

The Academic Skills Coaching Program is open to all NYU Shanghai undergraduate students, offering support to help them develop essential academic and study skills. The program features two key components: the Academic Skills Mentorship Program and the Academic Skills Coaching Workshop Series, both designed to enhance students' learning strategies and academic success.

Academic Skills Mentorship Program

Academic Skills Mentorship Program is an optional program. All NYU Shanghai undergraduate students, including study-away students visiting from other campuses, are welcome to apply!

Info sessions of the program will be held during the first week of classes, followed by the application process. Once admitted, participants will participate in a mandatory kick-off event.

The program aims to support students in developing foundational personal and academic skills in a more structured and intentional manner. As a mentee, you will:

  1. Participate in check-ins with program facilitators and peers;

  2. Join interactive workshops on various academic skills;

  3. Meet with Fellows in academic skills coaching consultations;

  4. Reflect on your growth and achievements - both individually and in groups;

  5. Participate in an optional Study Buddy Matchmaking Program
